Franklinite

Is an important Zinc/ Manganese mineral found in New Jersey together with other exotic and rare minerals. The formula is : Zn, Fe, Mn)(Fe, Mn)2O4, Zinc Iron Manganese Oxide.

The hardness is 5 and has a metallic luster, rarely offered as a facet gem. The surface may have some small nicks.
